Beyond Business Blogging
When the WWW was conceived, its primary purpose was to make a wealth of information more accessible to a global audience. It allowed savvy small businesses to retain technical or artistic people to publish a company web site and immediately obtain entry to a global market.
Blogging puts the power of publishing directly in the hands of the individual, whether that person is a teenager sharing his thoughts with the world or a business owner trying to develop a personal relationship with her clients in an ever more impersonal world.
JSW4.NET believes that this tool will help many businesses to use the web as a tool to communicate with their customers, vendors, and partners. We think that our clients are going to come up with business blogging ideas we haven't even dreamed of yet, and we want to help them make those ideas a reality.
The Tools to Manage Content
JSW4.NET became a hosting partner with SixApart in order to provision subscription licenses to MovableType Personal Publishing system as a value-added service for our hosting customers. MovableType was selected because of the flexibility of the templating system and the simplicity of its user interface. The templating system allows us to lay out all the HTML for your pages, and then you can update the actual content on the pages any time you want.
MovableType provides a range of application programming interfaces (API) that the community has used well to develop a library of plug-ins that extend the capabilities of the software. There is a community library of plug-ins available, and an emerging group of companies is developing commercial plug-ins.
Creative Customization
What would you like to say? JSW4.NET works with businesses to explore how they can benefit from regularly updating a blog, or by integrating MovableType into an existing site architecture as a light-weight content management system (CMS). We use our knowledge of information systems and design to build a tool your business can use to communicate on the web.
