No, my version of Archive::Zip has just been downloaded from CPAN and compiled w/ the same Perl release as mod_perl.so (by me, so).

I don't know enough about how "file" behaves on Macs to answer that
one, although I agree it sounds wrong.

I agree. This is definitely nebulous for me :-/ Any other advice welcome!
