Re: Prob. installing libapreq2 under Leopard

Hi Hendrik!

Thank you for your help: things are going much better now, as mod_apreq2.so loads well now! Thank you.
Something I've noticed: you said that mod_perl wasn't included with Leopard but I haven't installed it by myself. I've found a mod_perl.so file in /usr/libexec/apache2: don't you have the same? I've simply added the following line in httpd.conf:
LoadModule perl_module libexec/apache2/mod_perl.so
Note that I've installed Xcode 3.0: maybe something added by it.

Now things are going much better. The only problem I've encountered (for the moment...) is the following error when trying to use Archive::Zip:
[Sun Nov 11 20:41:24 2007] [error]  is only avaliable with the XS version at /Library/Perl/5.8.8/Compress/Zlib.pm line 9\nBEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /Library/Perl/5.8.8/Compress/Zlib.pm line 9.\nCompilation failed in require at /Library/Perl/5.8.8/Archive/Zip.pm line 11.\nBEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /Library/Perl/5.8.8/Archive/Zip.pm line 11.\nCompilation failed in require at /Users/laurent/cawi/TWIQ/cgi/Twiq/filman.pm line 11.\nBEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /Users/laurent/cawi/TWIQ/cgi/Twiq/filman.pm line 11.\nCompilation failed in require at /data/www/twiq/cgi-bin/twiq.pl line 18.\nBEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /data/www/twiq/cgi-bin/twiq.pl line 18.\n
Any idea?

Laurent.

Hey,

I'm having similar problems but I've fixed the archictecture problems while compiling..
During compilation, I've forced the architecture:

export ARCHFLAGS="-arch x86_64"

export CFLAGS="-arch x86_64"

I know one one person who used

export CFLAGS=-m64

but YMMV. It didn't work for me.
This fixed the compilation.. but when I loaded it in my code, it spit out the following message in my logs:

dyld: lazy symbol binding failed: Symbol not found: _apreq_handle_apache2
  Referenced from: /Library/Perl/5.8.8/darwin-thread-multi-2level/auto/APR/Request/Apache2/Apache2.bundle

dyld: Symbol not found: _apreq_handle_apache2
  Referenced from: /Library/Perl/5.8.8/darwin-thread-multi-2level/auto/APR/Request/Apache2/Apache2.bundle

Anyone any suggestions on how to fix this?

Hendrik
