Errors after perl update

hi list
I have a mod_perl installation
instalation send
Bareword "Apache2::ServerUtil::server_root" not allowed while "strict subs"

after update perl,  when i try to reinstall mod_perl makefile send this

Cannot install mod_perl/2.0.3 on top of mod_perl/1.99_16
due to a major API change between mod_perl 1.999_21 and 1.999_22.

What i need to do for reinstall mod_perl and put my instalation online again?
