[ic] UI_TEMPLATE_DIR variable

Hi,

Does anybody know how to use the catalog variable UI_TEMPLATE_DIR? I
would like to set up different UI templates for some of my stores.

I tried to set it to "templates-new"

then I copied the directory:
/usr/local/interchange-5.4.2/lib/UI/pages/include/templates/

to
/usr/local/interchange-5.4.2/lib/UI/pages/include/templates-new/

AND I also copied it to my catalog root.

After changing the files in templates-new/... and restarting IC, it
still used the old templates...

Any suggestions?
