[ic] blank_label="select size"

Hoping someone can help me with this problem.

We are using Interchange 5.2.0.

I am building item options based on the color(sku) selected and want  
the first option to be "select size". Here is the code I am using:

The blank_label is not working. Anybody know why? Do I have to set  
something in a config file or am I using an old version???
