[ic] bin/makecat failing

So I'm having a problem installing new catalogs with interchange 5.4.2
I consistently get the following

Moving link program to 
/usr/home/windsg/public_html/cgi-bin/standard.cgi..done.
Copying share/ files to /usr/home/windsg/public_html........done.
Moving HTML files to /usr/home/windsg/public_html/standard..done.
Moving image files to /usr/home/windsg/public_html/standard/images..Use 
of uninitialized value in chdir at 
/usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.8/File/Find.pm line 751.
Use of chdir('') or chdir(undef) as chdir() is deprecated at 
/usr/local/lib/perl5/5.8.8/File/Find.pm line 751.

Couldn't move image files /usr/home/windsg/public_html/standard/images: 
Source file ./bg.gif missing.

Has anyone else countered this and found a way to resolve it?
