Re: [ic] Migrating interchange installation from one server to another

Hello JT,

Thank you for your suggestion. I shall definitely check the file permissions. Meanwhile, can you please let me know how to have Interchange use MySQL database for loading data.

As of now my installation is taking the default DBM database. I edited Interchange to use MySQL database Administration -> Preferences -> Database

  MV_DEFAULT_SEARCH_DB 1	Database
  MYSQL 1	Database
  ORACLE Database
  PGSQL Database
  SQLDSN pillaged_interchange	Database
  SQLPASS ******* Database
  SQLUSER pillaged_interch	Database

And when I click Apply Changes, it is giving the following error in error_log.

- - - [13/October/2007:21:39:38 -0500] - - pillaged config error: options not a database, cannot use as products file - - - [13/October/2007:21:39:38 -0500] - - Error reconfiguring catalog /~pillaged/cgi-bin/cart.cgi from running server (26241)

This is a fresh database and it has nothing in it.

Please advice.

Hello tech-list,

Interchange with cPanel is discouraged. Search the archives for more on
that.

I suspect that you have some permissions problems. Examine the
difference in permissions between the two catalogs and it should be
apparent.
