[ic] [display type=state_select...] class weirdness

Hi all,

I am trying to customize the account information page on IC 5.4.1 and 
while applying css classes to the fields, I noticed that:

[display type=state_select... ]  lines do not take the class=cssstyle
override

It works when I do [display class=selectbox type=country_select...] 
but doesn't work with [display class=selectbox type=state_select
name=b_state value="[value b_state]"]

Any ideas why >> type=state_select <<  somehow would not take the class
override?
