[ic] Error - Need: No format check routine for 'to'

Hi, I am new to interchange.
When adding an option for a product and clicking 'buy
it now' the following error occurs 'Need: No format
check routine for 'to'' and nothing is added to the
cart. The item can be added from the main search page
and then the option selected. Where do I start to look
for this problem? This is in Interchange 5.2.
