Thanks Kevin,

I'm still looking into this - we may have a hardware issue - I think 
the Perl modules are ok, but there are many package on this server 
that emerge is wanting to upgrade. What methodology do you use to 
determine package upgrades? I'm starting to lean toward - "If it 
ain't broke don' tfix it." :)
