[ic] LinkPoint curl connection error

Hi,

I'm having trouble connecting to linkpoint.
I get the following error on my checkout page:

(linkpoint): Charge failed, reason: Charge error: curl connection error
Please call in your order or try again.
Credit Card Information: Charge error: curl connection error Please call
in your order or try again.

my curl version is 7.9.8 and installed via rpm.

I am using and old unused test checkout area from a IC 4.8 install, but
My IC is version 5.4. I'm using the Linkpoint.pm module, and have lpperl
installed.

Is there a way around this?
