[ic] interchange permissions system

I'm trying to make a content manager user and also grant them access
to two additional tables.  So far I've found that granting access to
the two tables removes all group membership.  I haven't been able to
find documentation explaining how the permission system works or how
the permissions editor works.

Any thoughts on how to do this or documentation I should be reading?
