Hi Richard, Thanks for sending the updated info. We'll start knocking out the final changes. On the mailing list piece: this item is out of scope (I believe you and I've discussed this several times :) The 2 databases are used for: 1.Content Management and 2.E-commerce. The mail list will actually add a table to the first database, this isn't the issue. The time involved in integrating the mail list is the reason it will be held for Phase II. I hope this isn't a surprise as we've discussed previously. I'll get you the updated contract Tuesday and we'll keep you posted on the last updates. Enjoy the remainder of your holiday weekend! I'm about to deploy another box with IC, and I'm wondering which to choose. (Yes, I know 5.5.x is development, I'm wondering if/what there are things in 5.5.x that are not in 5.4.1 that I might take advantage of.) Bob, The 5.5.x branch (and of course the upcoming 6.0) breaks compatibility with 5.4.x and older trees, as you can see at: http://www.icdevgroup.org/i/dev/news?mv_arg=00013 For a list of changes, see http://www.icdevgroup.org/docs/WHATSNEW.html I think others might add a comment or two about their experience with 5.5.x in practical setups. This will 'capture' or 'settle' the card when you change the status to 'shipped' in the UI. This requires you to have done an 'auth' at checkout. > 1) I don't see "SETTLE_TRANSACTION" in the variable.txt table, do I > just add it? I can change the status to > "partial" but how will Interchange handle this? IC won't capture the card unless it is 'shipped'. If I have a large order that is waiting on one small item, I like to get the funds when I ship the majority of the order. To do this, I 'ship' it (capturing the card) but don't send an email to the customer; then I update it as partial, 'ship per status above', and email the customer. Later when the last item ships, I can 'ship' all, and I'll get an error message that it was already captured, but that's ok. Maybe someone else has a simpler method... -- Josh Lavin Kingdom Design http://www.kingdomdesign.com/ ------------------------------ Message: 4 Date: Sun, 28 May 2006 09:27:37 -0400 (EDT) From: "William Fiore" <suppressed> Subject: [ic] Re: Charge card when item ships To: suppressed Message-ID: <suppressed> Content-Type: text/plain;charset=iso-8859-1 On May 26, 2006, at 6:05 PM, William Fiore wrote: > I read in the post below that if I change SETTLE_TRANSACTION to 1 in > CATROOT/products/variable.txt this will work. Do I have to change anything else in my settings to only do an 'auth' at checkout or does adding SETTLE_TRANSACTION and setting it to 1 accomplish this? Also, does anyone know how long after authorizing a card will authorize.net allow you to settle the transaction?
