Cold you post your shebang (first line) in interchange/bin/interchange.
I guess that IC is using an other perl-location than /usr/local/bin/perl.

If the shebang is different, then change it to point
/usr/local/bin/perl. Check also that the all other files in your
interchange-dir/subdirs with a shebang point the same location as the
file interchange/bin/interchange.
