Are you honestly complaining about which side of the reply the original message is quoted on? Honestly?
Hi Simon,The forum guidelines for "no top posting" are an effort to keep the forum threads readable during discussions. By not 'top posting', a reader can easily scan a message from top-to-bottom and left-to-right just as they would any normal document. If the posts are 'top posted' or 'mixed posted' then the reader must jump around and try to figure out what the thread of the conversation was. Most readers (especially the gurus) in this forum will stop following a thread if top posting occurs.
So the request to stop 'top posting' is one of etiquette, based on a structure that helps everyone communicate effectively.
I hope that helps. -- - - -- ---- ---------------------------- --- -- - - Marty Tennison - -- --- --------------------------------------- --- -- _______________________________________________ interchange-users mailing list suppressed http://www.icdevgroup.org/mailman/listinfo/interchange-users
