[ic] Incorrect shipping when item in basket uses Matrix options

My catalog calculates shipping costs based on the criteria 'price' (which I
guess refers to the "price" field in the product database).

However, this is causing problems when a product uses Matrix Options,
because the prices for the options are specified in a different database. So
when shipping is calculated the prices of any products that use Matrix
Options are not included in that calculation.

Has anyone come across this problem before, or have any advice on how it
could be solved?

I am using a development version of Interchange 5.3.1
