Hello, Could the people that are out there that handle high availability IC sites answer these questions. If only some of the questions apply to you, please answer the ones that do. What sort of solutions are IC hosts using for high traffic IC sites? How do you handle load balancing the incoming requests? How do you handle redundant IC and DB servers? How do you handle automatic failover when an IC or DB server goes down? How many servers do you use in your configuration? What is each servers role? Do the servers communicate via a 10/100/1000 network? Are you using network attached storage for the catalog and html data? If so, is the storage connected via 10/100/1000 or Fiber? How do you keep the data redundantly available? What db server are you using? Is their a slave for failover? Or do you use multiple Masters that sync? Are you using mod_interchange? If so, do you use it's built in backup IC list? What web server are you using? What tools do you use for detecting failures and taking servers or drives offline? How are you handling load balancing across the multiple web / ic / db servers? Thanks for your help! -Ron _______________________________________________ interchange-users mailing list suppressed http://www.icdevgroup.org/mailman/listinfo/interchange-users
