Hello, I have finally gotten ic to install without any errors, and I was able to run makecat and restart the server without any errors. I can open the www.myserver.com/mystore to bring up the customer admin entrance. When I click on the links, I get the We're sorry message. I have made sure from earlier help like back in the 4.8.0 days, I chmoded the cgi-bin mystore file to 4771 and the /usr/local/interchange/etc/socket to 666 it may be different now not sure. Anyways, here is a copy of my error.log file, I cleared it so I could getafresh reading. - - - [29/November/2004:17:15:21 -0600] - - STOP server (3053) on signal TERM - - - [29/November/2004:17:15:25 -0600] - - Low traffic settings. - - - [29/November/2004:17:15:26 -0600] - - ...UI is loaded... - - - [29/November/2004:17:15:26 -0600] - - InterchangeV5.3.0-200411290658- - - [29/November/2004:17:15:26 -0600] - - Running with new signals, external programs could be unreliable. > Re-run with environment variable PERL_SIGNALS set to "unsafe" to change > this. - - - [29/November/2004:17:15:26 -0600] - - Config 'mystore' at server startup - - - [29/November/2004:17:15:28 -0600] - - START server (3249) (UNIX) - - - [29/November/2004:17:15:28 -0600] - - START server (3249) (UNIX) Everything installed so far as I could tell, with a hitch. Let me know if there is something else I can change or fix Thank youare you sure that the interchange server is running, probably something like this /etc/init.d/interchange status to check the status of interchange you can also do ps -aux |grep interchange and see if the interchange process is running. good luck. tom
I tried those two and they didn't work, here is what I got on the first one suppressed ~]# /etc/init.d/interchange status -bash: /etc/init.d/interchange: No such file or directory and the second one suppressed ~]# ps -aux |grep interchangeWarning: bad syntax, perhaps a bogus '-'? Interchange server started in UNIX mode(s) (process id 4188) As far as I can tell the server is running from what I am seeingI still can go into the customer and admin entrance page, but I get the normal We're sorry after that
