[ic] German Umlaute in E-Mails, especially in mail_receipt

Hi List,

when customers place orders in my shop, they get an
e-mail with the confirmation of their order. In the
text of this mail there are some german Umlaute like
ä,ö,ü,ß. They are not correctly displayed. Has anyone
a solution for my problem?
The server runs on Suse 9.1.
