[ic] Interchange problem

While trying to  make a catalog , I get the following error:

run "createdb foundation"? y
psql: FATAL:  user "xyz" does not exist ( 'xyz' in the account name 
that controls the catalog with default admin password 'pass')
createdb: database creation failed

Any pointers !!
