[ic] mysql table updates occur, but don't show up in searches

I'm running IC 5.0 using mysql. I created new table named workorders and 
a form that adds entries to that table. That form seems to work... the 
new entires appear in the table when I look from the UI. However when I 
do searches for them, it is as if the updates did not occur.

The serach I'm doing is very simple:

                        fi=workorders
			st=db
		"][loop-code] [loop-data workorders workorder] [loop-data wororders 
description][/loop]


Why does the search not find entries that are indeed present?
