[ic] makecat & ldap auth'd users

Hi there, yupperz another nubie, OK, here's my specs:
RH7.3
interchange-4.8.7-1 (first time install) core only installed
ISPMan LDAP based virtual hosting package

Ok, my web/mail/ftp users auth by ldap only, so no system accounts.
Commandline chown accepts uid/gid stored by ldap.
Makecat rejects uid/gid of the user during interactive setup.
Makecat Error **** 1001 is not a valid user name on this machine. **** when
makecat spec:
CatUser: 1001 (the directory owner)
permtype: M  because I want all webs to have a shopping cart they mess
with themselves (I did want M here, right?)
