The "truncate with ellipsis" filter was missing from 4.8.6, for some
reason.  It was added back into the 4.8 codebase on the 1st September
2002 and is present in 4.8.7.

You can do one of the following:

  1. Use [filter 100] instead of [filter 100.] for now.
  2. Upgrade your 4.8.6 release to the latest stable 4.8.7.
  3. Add the missing code yourself.
  4. Pay someone to add the missing code for you.
  5. Tell your kids not to add the missing code. :-)
