RE: [cgiapp] Re: Plucene or Xapian?

I've been using Xapian here to do multi-lingual gram-based searching
over our AV assets - and it's brilliant. Fast to develop with, efficient
and great for tuning and maximising performance. It's also very easy to
install across multiple platforms - which is good for me developing on a
Mac, but targeting other environments.

Documentation is terse, but the support offered on the mailing list is
enormously helpful.

Autonomy is obviously great but requires a good deal of resource to
configure properly.
