Re: [cgiapp] When would you not use CA

I am being contracted for a small site for a friend. It is maybe 5-7 pages and probably 1 form and some AJAX sprinkled in.

While I really love CA (I use it at work) I am wondering if this is too small to use Perl/CGI/CA for?

Thoughts?
I have watched several "small projects" with just a few pages quickly become programming challenges as functionality, no matter how simple, gets added. Usage examples:

So, you need to keep a session between pages? How about error handling? Oh, and now someone wants a simple user login and authentication of some pages. For performance, I want to use my scripts under mod_perl (or I just think it is cool).

These usage examples illustrate how a simple app can quickly become somewhat less simple. CA provides the framework upon which generalized solutions for each of these usage examples can be applied. It is definitely worthwhile climbing the CA learning curve.
