Actually, in one great app I use CGI::Explorer, which has a Windows
Explorer-like tree interface in the left pane, and a form (which takes many
forms!) in the right pane.
Both panes run the same CGI script.
Clicking a link in the tree in the left pane submits a GET and I simply do not
use sessions when the incoming request is from the left pane.
The problem was to share the session id output to the right pane. I worked out
how to transfer the session id from the right pane to the left by using
onFormLoad, but that Failed in Fucking FireFox of course
(4F I know means something negative in the American miliary's assessment of
applicants), so I just gave up.
And yes, on the day I tested it, it /was/ the latest version of FireFox. Even
with all of IEs deliberately build-in evil, it at least obeyed my request to
fire that trigger, whereas FireFox only fired it once in a blue moon.
