Re: [cgiapp] [OT] Config::Context && Windows

Sorry for not joining this discussion earlier - I've been out of town
and haven't had Internet access.

To be honest, I haven't done any testing under Windows. And I've really
got no excuse, since I use Windows on my desktop and I even have a drive
mapped to my module dev directory!

I guess I've been underestimating the popularity of Windows as a
platform for CGI::Application.

I'll look into the test failures for CC (and the other modules) over the
next couple of days.

In the meantime, for all you Windows users of CGI::Application - what
Perl distro (and version) do you tend to use? ActiveState? Indigoperl?
Cygwin? I've got the following installed at the moment:

    5.8.2 Cygwin
    5.8.0 ActiveState

So I'll start with those.

The test failures should definitely not happen. I'll fix those.

As you note in a later post in this, the skipped tests are normal. In a
typical environment, Config::Context, CAP::Config::Context (and also
CAP::AnyTemplate) will skip lots of their tests, because these modules
provide drivers to lots of different modules that may or may not be
installed.

But thinking about it now, I realize that when test failures occur, all
those skipped tests can make the module feel even more "fragile". I'll
try to have the tests print out a diagnostics message on startup
indicating that lots of skipped tests are normal.

The skips also create a lot of noise and make it hard to distinguish the
failures from the skips, but I don't know if I can do much about that.
