In the CAF we we do preserve the POSTed form after a relogin.
And you're right that a limitation with this approach is that file
uploads don't survive this process.
I'd like to find a good way of handling this, but it may turn out to be
more trouble than it's worth.
Also, we do indeed plan to refactor the CAF to use both CAP::Session and
CAP::Authentication. I haven't had time to tackle this project yet -
I've been crazy busy at $dayjob converting a huge legacy app into
CGI::Application - fun!.
