I might have miscommunicated about RT. I don't want to install a new BTS
at all. I want to use rt.cpan.org. Not because it rocks the hardest, but
as a pragmatic decision: It's already there and it works well enough.
I can't think of any other perl module projects that bother to use
another BTS.
It's possible to do some basic integration just by putting "RT#233" in
the commit messages. I describe that in more detail here:

You can then parse the log history and generating links to the BTS.
