Jason,
This is a nice start, and would be nice to have a wiki format to
collaborate on this more. Kwiki's pod format would be ideal, since we
all know POD, and the result can directly become the documentation.
Some bigger picture things:
- Like CGI::App::Generator, it needs allow people to use their own
templates. It may be that to generate scaffolding for a new BREAD
application just means using a different template.
- In instance script is also nice to generate. I do this with
C::A::Generator. I know there is not much in them, but does avoid
typos in the package name.
- It should work with an ".cgi-app-starter" file for defaults. For
example, I may want to always use testing and darcs.
- Maybe this should be a sub-class of Module::Starter, which is also
maintained by a C::A user now, "Ricardo Signes".
Some detail things:
- "cvs" is not a generic term. Use "scm" instead, for "source control
management".
- I'm not sure what "usecasc" means. I recommend "use-base".
