I'm really least concerned about the name. I think we would do fine to
encourage related use.perl.org journal entries and other bloggers, as
well as seeking exposure in the technical media, such as Perl.com.
( I just sent a new CGI::App story proposal to the editor there tonight. )
One reason that Maypole took off was because of the reputation of the
author, Simon Cozens. Likewise CGI::Prototype (another boring name, I
might add), has the Randal Schwartz brand behind it. CGI::App could do
more to promote the higher profile people and projects associated with
it.

Thanks! That came from Evan Agee here at Summersault [0]. We have also
sponsored his work that became the logos for TMDA [1] and darcs [2].

The CGI::App is a little troublesome because O'Reilly owns the rights
related to using the Camel image in association with Perl (but granted
us the right to use in this context). However, for most of what we would
want to do with it, that shouldn't be a problem.

How about CGI::Application::PlusPlus?
