Anyway, I do like the book/physical product, but I would recommend NOT involving a publisher. There are tradeoffs (no money vs. no pressure), but in my opinion, the no pressure wins out, given my experiences. Plus we could setup a kwiki to facilitate collaboration (I have a few chapters from my book project) and then ... the kicker ... once we have our product, we can upload it to lulu.com and they can handle the publishing bits.
And if any money gets made, perhaps it could go to TPF... just one idea.
