Hello! To recap a bit for those who couldn't attend YAPC::NA or might have missed the BOF session on Monday, there were many of us from this list that expressed some concerns over the present state of CGI::Session, and the forseeable future of that module. As CGI::Session is in wide use and of great importance to many of us here, we decided to adopt the module under the Phalanx project, with the eventual understanding that we may have to fork the module due to the lack of response from the author.
After speaking with Andy Lester, he was pretty excited that we were willing to adopt this module, and offered to set up a Subversion repository for us at one of the perl.org servers. As I had already intended to set up a svn repo for this project, I'm left with kind of a dilemma. Should we wait for Andy (given his schedule, it's likely to be at least some time next week until this is set up) to help us get the project running under perl.org, or should I go ahead and set up the repo now. Or should I compromise and set it up on one of my servers now and move the repository when Andy has a chance to help us?
Anyhow, I hate to make the decision myself, so looking for some feedback from others here.
To those of you I had the opportunity to meet and work with at YAPC, I had the most incredible time, and look forward to our continued working together. We have an incredible group here :)
Jason
