- There are several module dependenices which I did not have installed (DBD::MySQL, CGI::Session::MySQL, Error to name a few). A Build.PL would be helpful to let me know what I need to install on my local system. Including some of the pure Perl modules that have appropriate licenses in a PAR file would be even better.
Hi Rob,Thanks for the tips. Your suggestions are quite reasonable ... I will see what time allows.
Uh-oh ... don't use the Error module. For more information, q.v. http://www.perlmonks.org/?node_id=278619
I do not actually implement anything from the Error.pm module, so I will take out the 'use' line for now. I thought it might be a good framework for the future, but I know Jesse wrote a long email a long while back about his investigation into error handling modules and his ultimate decision was to leave it to the user. I guess I'll do the same for now, but I do catch the DIE signal and return a nice page based on the Web site's templates.
Maybe the best ultimate solution is to let the user override or extend the die handler.
