Mostly, yes. But some defaults are different, which can produce
maddening results:

Now, that was more than a year ago, so maybe this is fixed now.
Personally, I recommend beginners stick with Apache 1.3 for now. It's
simpler and better documented. You can read books about it and
just about every question you might have has already been asked and
answered on the mailing-lists and in the FAQ. Apache 2 is definitely
the cutting edge, but it's still pretty sharp!
