Thanks for your elucidation on MT and triggers/callbacks. Yes, after
reading the Wiki entries, I'd agree that I like the term callback better
than trigger. So long as we all are on the same page, it doesn't
ultimately matter to me.
I believe you hit the nail on the head by pointing out that a priority
scheme is not needed for one-off applications but is very much needed if
developing a framework for use by others. The 1-10 priority scheme seems
a bit extensive and non-intuitive; I prefer the Apache-based FIRST,
MIDDLE, LAST (along with REALLY_FIRST and REALLY_LAST). The idea of
die'ing if two modules try to set REALLY_FIRST or REALLY_LAST priorities
is great (and I think was picked up in another fork of this thread).
