Hi Markus,

IFAICT Evan Agee has copyright, and I am not sure if he is on the list,
so I cc: this email to him, too. It's up to Evan to decide, IMHO.
But we can ask advice/opinion of Free/Open source experts:
* What would be the best way to handle this issue?
* How this kind of issues are usually handled?
IMHO: if Evan wants to keep copyright, he can still decides to grant
a free license for any use he deems valid, like T-shirts related
to CGI::Application.
Or he might grant this logo as a gift to CGI::Application community
and all related projects and users. Or to Perl foundation. I don't know.
But I can envision a variant of it, "Powered by CGI::Application"
on some websites :-)
> Would it be allowed to change the colors but keep the design itself?
Evan told me he is open about the colors. I asked Jesse for an opinion
on colors to avoid any colors he hates.
I assume no response => no preferences. ;-)
So IMHO we keep existing colors, and is up to Evan to allow color themes.
IANAL :-)
> Thanks for the work and your commitment.
All thanks should go to
* Evan Agee for designing logo,
* CGI::App FAQ wiki users (Adam Gent, Mark Stosberg, Thilo Planz,
Jay Flowers, Steve Comrie) who edited FAQs.
* And of course Jesse for creating C::A in the first place
and keeping this list alive :-)
Again, you can see logo and comment here:
