I looked into DBIx::Abstract and DBIx::Recordset as DBI wrappers, among other.

(1) Why your DAO set is better what existing DBI wrappers? 
(2) Shouldn't it be DBIx::DAO instead? Why not?

Sorry if I am asking wrong questions.
I am not OO guru and never read your DAO code, too... ;-)
