Re: [Bigsister-general] Strange problem with idacheck

Hi Paolo,

it would be interesting to see the source code of this. I wrote an own implementation for HP/Compaq Raid Controllers, because I didn´t know about this check. It has a little bit more infos, but I made some mistakes, which led to a little bit unflexible behaviour ;)
I think compaq´s way of implementing oid was not the best :-/

Best Regards

Stefan

Hello all,

I'm using BigSister since 2003  and it always works like a charm. Big Sister is my favourite monitoring system.

Recently I've seen the plugin to read status from the HP Health Agent. It works really well, but I'm a bit puzzled since I see the "Bay" item repeated multiple times (increases as time passes).

Any idea ? Thanks in advance...

Here is the output in the "storage" section, and below you'll find all configuration related to it...

Here is the configuraion of the agent on the server (shouldn't matter, since the check is SNMP based on the Bigsister server, but to give a complete information)
DESCR           features=unix,linux                     localhost
localhost       load memory network cpuload
localhost       disk
localhost       syslog
localhost       proc=xinetd procs    proc=sshd procs  proc=crond procs
localhost       users

On the central bigsister server the remote server is monitored using this config:
DESCR   features=compaq unipvtest01
unipvtest01     proto=icmp ping temp power overall cpqida cntlr=5 idadisk disk cntlr=5 logdisk

Best regards,
    Paolo
