Apparently global warming is affecting even my home LAN. Without air conditioning in my office, last year I've lost two machines due to the heat and malfunctioning fans, and the other day my backup/restore server got busted. I need to monitor the room and computer's environmental variables if I want to prevent next disastrous event. On Fedora, which I use, there is the lm_sensors package that provide the necessary information, typically temperatures + fans rpms. If nobody has already done it, I'm willing to write the plugin to interface the lm_sensors output for BigSister. Any pointers where to look for about how to write such a plugin for BigSister and any advice is greatly encouraged + welcome. Thanks, Costa. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
