Re: [Bigsister-general] DNS down, bigsis not reporting it?


I am using the IP to monitor the DNS server (see my uxmon-net lines in 
orig email).

Also the DNS server I am monitoring is our external one, but the machine 
bigsis runs on uses the internal DNS server, so it wasn't an issue of 
DNS not being available.

Why does bigsis show the server as green, when it says the connection 
timed out?  I'm thinking its not detecting something properly.  Here is 
a screen shot:
