In "service=ssh tcp" the test's name is "tcp" while "service"
is only a parameter. Means: You have read the wrong man page :-)

So, does this mean the one ssh test that is not working is one against
"localhost"?

Try ...

  DESCR features=unix,linux,debian 127.0.0.1
  127.0.0.1(nameofyourhost) ssh

... in uxmon-net in place of the ...

  localhost ssh

... I assume you currently have there.
