Hi, New to bigsister, longtime bigbrother user, first time posting here. i have installed a coupled of bigsister clients and the rest are still bigbrother clients sending updates to bigsis. My problem is that following the documentation on grouping is not only confusing....but also not working. I am trying to group my nodes into servers, workstations/User desktops. Whatever change i make in file located in /etc/bigsister/bb-display.cfg does not make any difference. The server side is a default rpm installation (1.02-4) on redhat ES3.0...and even changing the config file to read from default "All-Hosts" to say "Allll-Hostssss"; restart httpd, restart bigsis...and nothing changes on the webpage. I was only doing that to see if this file is consulted at all as documentation says. Below is a portion of my tinkering...which does not seem to make any difference to the webpage. Still i only see All Hosts, no other grouping..and even the altered syntax "Allll-Hostssss" is not showing up. What am i overlooking? %Groups # any_host ALL HOSTS NEW(New Hosts) GLOBAL ALL(All Hosts) GLOBAL UserDesktops(User Desktops) GLOBAL MultipurposeServer(Multi-User Servers) GLOBAL %skin static_lamps bigbro13 %Logskin static_lamps techie #%Rsync gate _ ALL %Page top Allll-Hostssss %title auto %refto none %itemref html %sort severity %table ALL %Page userdesktops User-Desktops %title auto %refto none %itemref html #%sort severity %table UserDesktops I first tried the grouping via the web admin menu. While i can see the grouping when i go to Admin->Host Groups-->By group, on the left side bar, there is no menu item for, say, User-Desktops group. What am i missing here? Any better documentation that what comes with bb rpm? _Thanks Richard __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
