Have you configured snmp on the cisco? I monitor some 50 switches and
routers ranging from Cat 1900 to 4500 without problems.

The only problem is that I need snmpv2 to get 64-bit counters for some
of the not-so-idle 1 Gb (and soon 10 Gb) interfaces.
