Hi, I stepped on this problem twice and have spent quite some time on tracing it down. Perhaps it can save some time for other users. PROBLEM : you configure UPS monitoring and get "Purple" saying "No UPS monitored". You are certain that there is UPS, and you have When you test NUT UPS monitor it with "telnet localhost nut" everything works just fine. But you still have "Purple" error. What basically happens is that connection from Bigsister agent comes not from localhost but from "eth0" IP address (I'm not quite sure why). In my configuration only connections from localhost were allowed to NUT UPS monitor. Once you allow connection from eth0 IP address in /etc/nut/upsd.conf everything started to work. Hope it may help. Is it worth mentioning (verify that connection from all local IP addresses are allowed) in nutups module help page?
