Here's a setup I use with cisco catalyst 3550's and 3750's. Also works well for
most other SNMP capable switches (I've used it on dell, and some old intel 510T
switches too).

Note that I ignore interface 11 with a regex. If you don't want to ignore any
interfaces, get rid of the interface specifier (By default it monitors all)

DESCR           features=remote                         ciscocore
ciscocore               icmp_ping
ciscocore               community=xxxxxx interface=~\/(?!11)\d etherport
ciscocore               community=xxxxxx warnload=80% interface=~\/(?!11)\d
item=net network

Note, I have a DNS name for ciscocore, so that by bigsister can resolve it to an IP.
