[Bigsister-general] customizing etc/mibs.txt does not work

I've add the following OIDs to the etc/mibs.txt file
in hopes of using them with the snmpvar healthcheck,
but they don't work.  It seems as if bigsister is not
creating these variables.  If I specify the OID itself
I get a result.  So what am I doing wrong?

This doesn't work:
10.103.29.65(UPS1) item=up 
variable=upsBasicBatteryStatus.0  community=public
frequency=5 snmpvar #upsBasicBatteryStatus

This works:
10.103.29.65(UPS1) item=up 
variable=1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.2.1.1.0 
community=public frequency=5 snmpvar
#upsBasicBatteryStatus
