[Bigsister-general] snmpnetwork and Gb interfaces

Nowadays Gb interfaces are commonplace, and it won't be long before we
get our first 10Gb interface. We already have several interfaces that
routinely run at 250-300Mb/s and that poses a problem with snmpnetwork
supporting only SNMPv1. We need SNMPv2 and ifHC*Octets data!

Are there any work underway to support SNMPv2c (or even v3)? Any
thoughts on how to integrate that into snmpnetwork?

I could hack up something, but autodetection of support for the HC
counters would be nice and that does not seem so easy?

/Niels
