There are other conn checks, reads the comments for them. check=1 will
never depend on another test since it cannot match.
Can't say anything about 2, I don't use the pager script.

Rules are carried out in order, the last matching takes precedence, the
earlier ones can define defaults. I only configured event paging/emailing
a few days ago the first time and only had a problem with the
Windows-typical way of getting the email out. I found the comments in
event_generator.cfg quite helpful. Also look in the new documentation pdf
which really is a big jump forward.
